YOU KNOW YOU'RE A PIN-A-HOLIC WHEN:

Every sentence that comes out of your mouth begins and ends with "on Pinterest".

When your husband and son put on "man tv", you know, with guns, bikes, cars, all that stuff you don't give a hoot about, is just another happy reason to scan pinterest until your phone dies.

Anytime you try anything new, your family asks "did you see this on pinterest?"  and the answer (of course) is YES!!!  ISN'T IT FANTASTIC!!??

You realize half way to picking the kids up from school that you left your iphone at home, and you actually consider doubling back to get it because the thought of waiting one minute for them to get to the car without Pinterest is almost too much to handle.

And the biggie, you go to bed at night full of regret for all of the Pins you didn't try, and the hope and promise of the Pins you can try tomorrow.

You get the picture.  If you're reading this post, you probably need a Pintervention too.  In fact, this blog is all about avoiding the pain of Pintervention.  I have been lucky enough to avoid the addiction for months, only to be sucked in after a visit to my oldest daughter's house.  She had done some cute little projects, shown me some beautiful shoes (These)  :

And that's it.  Hello, my Pin name is MINDICROWE and I am a Pin-a-holic.  So many cool ideas!!  The log cabin I dream of living in.  Stylish clothes I dream of wearing (and even a few outfits I could copy)!  Shoes I dream of prancing around in!  Delicious meals I will whip up impressing my family in no time at all!  Hilarious witticisms that could just roll off my tongue if only I could be that snarky!  Chic and crafty home decor I COULD MAKE MYSELF!  WINE BOTTLE CHANDELIERS, A WINE RACK MADE FROM WOODEN PALLETS FOR PETE'S SAKE!!!   (Disclaimer:  Nobody wants me to cut off a finger, so it will actually be the handsome hubs who will do the glass cutting and wood sawing :).

Well, I now have 1275 Pins, and have done maybe a handful of projects or recipes.  That's if your hand is very small.    I can hear my family whispering when I walk out of the room.  I know what it means.  A Pintervention is coming.  I have to do something quick.  I don't think a 12 step program will help me.  I'm not ready for that.  But I do have a plan.  I think it's brilliant.  It's been done before, so I can't take all the credit.  I have to give Julie Powell all the credit.

So, ala Julie/Julia....I am going to "do" 365 Pins in 365 days.  Yup, you read that right.  And yeah, I'm aware that it won't even put a dent in my Pins, especially as my addiction seems to be getting worse by the minute but hey, it's a start right?  I could even have a perfect storm of Pins and dress in an outfit I have put together via Pinterest, cook up a fabulous recipe I found on Pinterest, serve it on a beautiful platter (handmade of course, from some cool upcycled material, instructions found on....) and then the kids could  clean it all up with the awesome homemade cleaner I made from the most recently added homemade cleaner Pin and put away the dishes, using the cupboard organizers I found on Pinterest.  Oh ya, and the hubs and I could sit back and have a cocktail (recipe found on Pinterest of course)  in our fabulous glasses made out of wine bottles,  which the hubs made according to the directions on Pinterest.  What?  It could happen!  And if it does, I get bonus points.

So here is today's Pin project:

Not fancy, but I like it.  It wasn't expensive and it didn't take very long, and I could do most of it myself.  My husband had to weld two pieces of rebar together to make it long enough (thank you Honey xoxo) but the rest was all me baby!

Here is the original Pin:

I put herbs in mine, and some were seeds, so it's not quite as fabulous as this one, but I'm thinking of doing one in the front yard with flowers.  Also, I added those glow sticks, which make it look really cool at night (and make nighttime herb picking easier if you swing that way).

1 down, 364 to go.

So tell me, Pin projects have you done lately and how did they turn out?
